Pricing and Fee Terms

How wallet credits, AI usage charges, model/provider costs, markups, taxes, estimates, and pricing changes work.

Plain-language summary: MouseAi is a prepaid, usage-based AI service. You top up a wallet, then each eligible AI request debits the wallet based on model/provider usage, platform/service pricing, taxes, and disclosed fees. Prices, providers, models, taxes, and markups can change.

1. Scope

These Pricing and Fee Terms explain how MouseAi wallet top-ups, AI usage debits, platform fees, taxes, refunds, estimates, and pricing changes work. They form part of the Terms of Service. If a checkout page, order form, or written enterprise agreement expressly overrides these terms for a specific purchase, that specific document controls for that purchase.

2. Wallet top-ups

To use paid features, you may need to add wallet credits. The checkout flow shows the amount you intend to add, applicable platform or service fees, taxes where configured, and the total amount charged before you pay. Minimum and maximum top-up amounts may apply and may vary by account, country, risk profile, payment method, or operational capacity.

Wallet credits are for Service usage only. They are not cash, deposits, stored-value money, gift cards, or transferable balances. We may refuse, limit, reverse, or hold top-ups where we detect fraud, payment risk, provider risk, policy violations, tax issues, chargebacks, or operational constraints.

3. Usage-based AI charges

Each paid request may debit your wallet based on one or more of the following:

Tokenization and usage measurement vary by provider and model. A request that looks short to a human may produce a larger token count because of instructions, context, system prompts, retries, tool calls, safety checks, or output length. The amount shown before a request may be an estimate; the final debit may be based on actual provider-reported or system-calculated usage.

4. Platform fees, markups, and stepdown pricing

MouseAi may charge platform fees, service fees, or markups on top of provider costs. Markups may be global, account-specific, promotional, usage-tiered, model-specific, provider-specific, or configured as cost-plus pricing. Where enabled, stepdown pricing may reduce the markup after qualifying top-up or usage thresholds, subject to any minimum margin, eligibility, fraud controls, or account-specific settings.

Unless a checkout or written agreement says otherwise, markups and fees compensate MouseAi for software development, hosting, payment processing, fraud risk, support, infrastructure, provider management, currency risk, taxes/administration, and service operation. Markups are not a separate investment, deposit, savings account, or guarantee of provider access.

5. Free credits, trials, promotions, and beta pricing

We may offer free credits, test credits, promotional credits, trials, beta pricing, coupon pricing, or discounted pricing. These offers may be changed, limited, revoked, or discontinued at any time unless a specific written offer says otherwise. Promotional or free credits may expire, may not be refundable, may not be transferable, and may not be redeemable for cash.

6. Taxes and currency

Unless a checkout page or written agreement says otherwise, wallet balances and usage debits are maintained in Canadian dollars (CAD). If Stripe checkout lets you pay in another supported currency, the checkout quote will disclose the payment currency, the CAD wallet value, and any FX rate/source used for the quote.

Taxes may include GST/HST, VAT, sales tax, digital services tax, or similar charges, depending on your location, billing details, tax status, product type, and our registration obligations. Taxes may be charged on wallet top-ups, platform fees, usage fees, subscriptions, or other taxable amounts as configured in checkout or required by law. If Stripe Tax is enabled, Stripe Checkout may calculate tax from billing details before payment.

Currency conversion may be applied by MouseAi, providers, Stripe, card networks, or your financial institution. Exchange rates, foreign transaction fees, issuer fees, and settlement differences may change. Your bank or card issuer may charge additional fees that we do not control.

7. Rounding, reserves, and balance adjustments

We may round usage, fees, taxes, and wallet balances to the nearest cent or other smallest supported unit. For some requests, we may reserve an estimated amount before processing and then release or adjust the difference after actual usage is known. If your wallet balance is insufficient, the request may fail, be shortened, use a lower-cost fallback where offered, or require a top-up.

We may correct errors, reverse mistaken credits, debit undercharged usage, credit overcharged usage, or adjust balances for refunds, chargebacks, provider corrections, tax corrections, fraud, abuse, or operational errors.

8. Price changes and provider changes

AI providers may change model prices, model names, billing units, rate limits, safety rules, availability, latency, regions, or terms. MouseAi may update prices, fees, markups, supported models, wallet rules, free tiers, tax settings, and billing logic at any time. Updated prices apply prospectively unless the change is needed to fix an error, comply with law/provider requirements, prevent abuse, or correct a billing issue.

We will try to show current pricing or estimates in the app or checkout flow, but we do not guarantee that any public pricing page is always complete, error-free, or inclusive of all account-specific settings.

9. Receipts, records, and auditability

We may provide receipts, invoices, wallet history, usage history, token counts, cost summaries, and transaction records through the Service or by email. Usage records are intended for transparency and troubleshooting, but they may be delayed, rounded, summarized, corrected, or unavailable during incidents.

You are responsible for reviewing charges and notifying us promptly of suspected errors. We may rely on internal logs, provider records, Stripe records, wallet ledgers, request IDs, and security data to investigate billing issues.

10. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Unless that policy or mandatory law says otherwise, wallet top-ups, consumed usage, platform fees, provider fees, model markups, taxes, and digital service charges are final and non-refundable.
